The Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) published the report “Education at a Glance 2010” which features date on the educational systems in 21 European countries. The main focus of the report is on the investments in education and the need for governments to support world-class quality in education systems to ensure long-term growth.

Today the Light on the Rights Bus Tour has started. From Brussels towards Vilnius, the first event will take place in the Lithuanian capital on the 9th of September. The EU 2020 education targets to decrease of the drop out rate to 10% and increasing the number of young people with a degree or diploma to at least 40% have been on the discussion table of various countries in the past month. Several countries have discussed their national situation related to the targets and their strategy for the implementation.
