SSUNI membership is comprised of individual member schools bringing all of that school’s students into the overall Student Assembly. SSUNI represent almost 40,000 school students, which is about the 30% of students in Northern Ireland.
Among the constitutional aims of SSUNI we find:
- The establishment of an Educational Diversity Unit;
- The establishment of the Equality Unit;
- The establishment of The District Officer Council.
The main topics tackled by SSUNI are: political education, end digital poverty, mental health funding, lobbying to have a standard for student voice, equal rights, anti-bullying strategy, review of modern language education.
