Curricula for the 21st Century

Curricula for the 21st Century

Do you believe that history could be taught in a more objective and fair manner? Do you think that sexual education is not (inclusive) enough? Do you have the feeling that you are not receiving enough financial education? In this group we will identify together the subjects that need to be adapted to the XXI century and we will bring our demands to EU and national policy-makers to influence our educational systems!

Our new Working Group will have to reflect on the state of curricula and methodologies in educational systems in Europe. The Working Group will gather and analyse good practices that are already being implemented in Europe, aspects to improve on the topic and the claims and actions that European school student organisations advocate for.

The mandate of the Working Group will last until December 2022. Meet them below!

Zdravo! My name is Naira, I am 18 years old and come from B&H. I'm currently a Board member of The Association of Secondary School Students in Bosnia and Herzegovina working as the International Officer. In line with that, my high school days have been spent working with secondary school students. I believe youth and youth education are one of the main drivers of progress in society, and it should be the priority to engage students in questions and processes regarding them. I hope through the work of our WG we will be able to contribute to that goal. And as we always say in ASuBiH - Don't be quiet;) I am always here if you want to contact me!

I have been engaged in student activism since 2018. Soon after I attended my first regional event, I became a board member of the Regional Student Union of my city. Later in 2019, I was elected as part of the team for the board of CANAE -the national union-, in which I have been working until now. During these years, I have been engaged in different projects and I have mostly focused on the organization of workshops and study sessions for students all over the country. I have also worked in working groups related to the environment and mental health of the Spanish National Youth Council.
