And the winner is… UNSS!

Between the 11th and 13th of March 2016, the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS), which gathers more than two thirds of all the youth organisations in the country, held its 4th Annual National Assembly.

This year, in the framework of the organisation’s forth anniversary, for the first time KOMS launched a competition, seeking for nominees in three areas: the best project tackling active youth participation; the best media announcement regarding active youth participation; as well as the best contribution to active participation through international collaboration.

We are more than thrilled to announce that the best project award winner was the Union of Secondary School Students of Serbia (UNSS) with its project “Social Day 2015”!

We are exceedingly happy about this, finally our work have been recognised by such an important organisation, which plays a key role in the process of decision making in Serbia. For us it means a special recognition, also to all the school students of Serbia who helped us in the past six years, with their commitment and endeavours to spread the idea, always striving for innovative solutions and ways to organise the project better and better! Without them it would not be possible: congratulations!

Furthermore, our Secretary-General Kristina Marjanac has been elected for the Supervisory Board of the aforementioned organisation. We wish her and the new Board of KOMS the best of luck in their future work! She will always have our support and faith, being one of the persons who has contributed the most to the developments of UNSS during the past few years.
