CEDEFOP report on validation of non-formal and informal learning is out!

The Commission’s public consultation on the promotion and validation of non-formal and informal learning (CEDEFOP) launched their report. See also the general report of EUCIS-LLL on its seminar on Recognition and Validation of learning in Europe organised in December 2011.469 stakeholders strongly support validation of skills and competences gained through non-formal and informal learning, for the greater good of individuals, the labour market and society in general. However, the consultation of the European Commission outlines that existing mechanisms are insufficient. Institutional resistance and a lack of trust are aslo still important obstacles for their validation.
