OBESSU Position Paper “Recommendations for the Pathways to School Success initiative”

While OBESSU welcomes European efforts to address school success, we reject frameworks that define it purely through test scores and workforce readiness, ignoring the socioeconomic realities, bullying, and exclusion that push students out in the first place. OBESSU calls on European institutions and Member States to put learner wellbeing, equity, and genuine inclusion at the heart of any strategy to keep young people in education, and to ensure that discriminated communities, like undocumented and migrant learners, are never left outside the school gate.
