OBESSU Position Paper on the Next Phase ofthe Digital Education Action Plan (DEAP) Implementation Process

At OBESSU, we affirm that the digital transformation of education will only succeed if it is built with students, not just for them. Across Europe, the digital divide continues to exclude learners in rural areas, students with disabilities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds, while policies are designed without the voices of those most affected. OBESSU calls on European institutions to move beyond tokenistic consultation in the implementation of the Digital Education Action Plan, and to ensure that meaningful student participation, equitable funding, and genuine digital inclusion are at the heart of every decision.
