OBESSU Policy Paper on Artificial Intelligence in Education

OBESSU reaffirms that artificial intelligence must serve learners — not the other way around. The rapid deployment of AI in education risks deepening inequalities, eroding privacy, and replacing critical thinking with algorithmic convenience. OBESSU calls on all European governments, EU institutions, and the private sector to adopt a rights-based approach to AI in education, ensuring that technology is transparent, accountable, and shaped by the students it affects.
