OBESSU Policy Paper “Innovation in Education: The School Students Perspective”

European schools are still largely using 20th century methods to teach to 21st century students. Learner-centred approaches, digital tools, and practical experience remain the exception rather than the rule, and those who pay the highest price are the students already most excluded by rigid, one-size-fits-all education. OBESSU calls on all European governments and EU institutions to invest in genuine pedagogical innovation: one that puts students at the centre of their own learning, embraces diversity as a strength, and prepares young people for life, not just for labour markets.
