OBESSU Policy Recommendations “The relation between Education and the labour market”

Students are not human capital and education is not a pipeline for labour markets. Young people across Europe are entering a world of precarious work, unpaid internships, and unemployment, while policy debates about their future continue to happen without them. OBESSU calls on all European governments and EU institutions to invest in education that develops critical, active citizens rather than market-ready workers, to guarantee decent conditions for young people in employment, and to ensure that students have a real seat at the table when decisions about their futures are made.
