OBESSU Urgent Motion Regarding the Directions Proposed in the new Romanian Government Program Concerning the Scholarship System

We, as OBESSU, stand in solidarity with Romanian students facing the proposed dismantling of their scholarship system. For thousands of students, these scholarships are not a perk: they are the only thing standing between them and dropping out. OBESSU firmly rejects any attempt to dress up austerity as reform and calls on the Romanian government to honour its commitments to educational equity, rather than balance its budget on the backs of its most vulnerable students.
