EXTENDED CALL: Members of the Working group on School Students’ Structure Development
OBESSU has extended the call for applications for Members of the Working group on School Students’ Structure Development (SSSD). The extended deadline for applications is Saturday 25th August at midday (CET).
Since 2004 OBESSU has been involved in the development of school students’ representative structures in the region of South Eastern Europe (SEE) with the support of the SEE Working Group. At the OBESSU GA 2010 it was decided to set up a new working group in order to support the establishment of sustainable school student structures in Europe where such do not yet exist. Ever since, the working group has been actively working with young people from around Europe and is now looking for new team to continue gaining new contacts, maintaining existent and bringing them to another level.
In particular, the working group is expected to:
- work on empowering the student population in Europe and promoting and encouraging participation of students through democratically elected, representative and independent national school student organisations
- get a clear overview of the student organising in Europe and to establish contacts with student representatives in all of the countries in Europe, where OBESSU doesn’t have its members
- support student initiatives around the continent by organising study visits and training sessions with the purpose of capacity building and networking
