Free meals or hungry school students?
Having to pay for your lunch at school is considered one of the costs in education or often referred to as a hidden cost. Everyone needs food, and everyone deserves to take part in education without having to pay extra fees to survive.
In most European countries, a free school lunch is not considered to be a right that school students have. OBESSU wants to change this set of mind by putting the light on something that most people do not care about: what school students today eat. How much do you actually know about school lunches in other countries? Did you know it should be free?
We therefore urge school students everywhere to take part and raise awareness with us simply by:
1. 1. Taking a picture of their school lunch
2. 2. Posting it on social media (facebook, twitter, or instagram) using the hashtag #freemeals
2. 3. Writing what they paid for the meal
