Gearing up for an exciting period of activities – what’s on our agenda?
OBESSU is gearing up and looks forward to our upcoming activities taking place in March, focusing on strengthening student engagement and empowering our Member Organisations while addressing key issues.
Between 9th and 16th of March, our OBESSU Pool of Trainers will take part in a Training of Trainers (ToT) in Sarajevo (BiH). The ToT is part of our Annual Workplan co-funded by European Youth Foundaton of the CoE – titled “IMPACT: Intersectional Measures Promoting Advocacy, Collaboration and Transformation” and aims to tackle gender mainstreaming from a broad organisational and intersectional perspective and focusing on building the capacity of our Members.
From March 17th to the 21st, we will be at the European Youth Centre in Budapest for Study Visit titled “CYBER ACTIVISTS: Understanding digital rights in the artificial intelligence era”. As part of this activity, we will focus on how to better support student organizations’ capacity towards an effective advocacy and activism in our increasingly digital environment, while further empowering young people to critically engage with emerging technologies while protecting their rights.
Parallel to the OBESSU-led activities, we are happy to share updates linked to our ongoing projects. As part of the InclusiVET project, we are geting ready for the Conference taking place in Brussels in May. Until we can share more information on the event, we invite you to check our website for the latest updates and resources like the “GUIDELINES FOR INCLUSIVE ENGAGEMENT“
Next, as part of the E+ co-funded project “Skip the Barriers of International Mobility” (SBIM), we will be holding a series of focus groups addressing International Mobility and the tools that youth workers are in need of to promote such opportunities. Outcomes from the Focus Groups will serve as the foundation for developing tools and activities towards equipping young people from diverse backgrounds with the right information about international mobility.
