GSSUA organised an online campaign and celebrated Human Rights Day
Georgian School Students Unions’ Alliance (GSSUA) decided to use online tools for celebrating Human Rights Day. On 10th of December, the member school student councils of GSSUA organised different actions varying from holding a flash mob to organising a workshop on different human rights topics. All those actions were united and gathered together with photos and different visual materials in the online campaign on GSSUA’s Facebook page with the message –“I create CREATIVE SCHOOL”
Our idea is to give a message to school students and main actors in school that school gives lots of opportunities and lots of rights besides academic environment. That is why an online campaign once again highlights the idea that if we want to have creative schools where human rights are enjoyed and accomplished, we have to create them by advocating, lobbying and multiplying our knowledge.
Therefore participants of the campaign, besides the off-line actions, were asked to promote the campaign slogan in their online environments. To support the online actions GSSUA created a poster which aimed at visualising the campaign’s main outlines.
Around 300 school student activists joined the campaign online and about 20 actions were taken on national level. GSSUA is planning to celebrate Human Rights Day every year.
