InclusiVET Project – Ending a chapter, yet many more shall come
As the Inclusive Engagement of Underrepresented Students in Vocational Education & Training (InclusiVET) project comes to a close, we wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders and policy makers for their engagement and meaningful contributions in the various actions and events held throughout the past 3 years.
The InclusiVET project has and will continue to support the common efforts aiming towards transforming VET institutions into environments where learners’ engagement and diversity are celebrated, and every learner can achieve their full potential.
Thanks to your support, the project was able to,
– identify more than 20 challenges and opportunities related to learner engagement;
– cover 30+ learning outcomes related to inclusive engagement;
– produce more than 40 Open Online Resources, made available as supportive resources that can help improve the implementation of practices supporting learner engagement;
– draft a variety of articles and Reports (3+) focusing on Inclusive Learner Engagement in VET;
– work closely with a variety of key stakeholders and learners, with results surpassing 10000 beneficiaries.
We are also proud of the work done, dedicated to strengthening inclusive learner engagement in VET systems across Europe. Some key deliverables of this work include,
- a Mapping Report on the challenges and opportunities of inclusive learner engagement in VET;
- a Self-Assessment Tool for VET institutions to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, together with Learner-Led Review tools that empower students to evaluate and improve their institutions;
- Guidelines for Inclusive Engagement Action Plans to move from intention to implementation;

Toolkit for the Promotion of Inclusive Learner Engagement in VET designed to support student organisations in VET in raising awareness of their organisation, their activities and for inclusive learner engagement in general.
- an Online Course of bite-size micro-modules for learners, educators, and support staff.
With peer learning webinars, our “Include Beyond Class” campaign, a Promotional Online Toolkit with editable advocacy materials, and other stakeholder dialogues, we amplified learner perspectives across classrooms, apprenticeships, and workplaces.
Last, with all the knowledge developed during the past years and aiming towards meaningful systemic change, InclusiVET produced Policy Recommendations calling for flexible and recognised participation, visible diversity, stronger support systems, staff training, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
InclusiVET’s message is simple, yet important as ever.
When engagement is inclusive by design, VET becomes more equitable, effective, and empowering.
Now it’s time to adopt and scale these tools – so every learner can shape their education and future.
