MAKOSZ organises Consultative Convention of the Counties at Timişoara

OBESSU’s Romanian member organisation MAKOSZ held its first forum, the Consultative Convention of the Countries (CCC) at Timişoara, between 23rd and 25th of March. The CCC is the official forum of the MAKOSZ, which handles the problems of its members, and it revolves around the situation of the organisation.

Each county can be represented by four students, who owns the right to vote and to opiniate the organization’s work. The event was hosted by Bartók Béla Theoretical Highschool at Timisoara. 

During the first day, after the arrival, icebreaker games were played . 

The next day began with a presentation held by the psychologist, Zoltán Bogáthy, about conflict management, followed by the actual convention. 

The CCC was opened by László Albert, the representative of the Hungarian Youth Council of Romania. After the opening ceremony, the participants listened to the report of the MAKOSZ about the activities of the past 3 months. It led on with the report of the counties, where they could talk about their programs and problems. 

The following counties represented themselves: Braşov, Harghita, Cluj, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Timişoara, Maramureş, Mureş, Bihor, Arad.

In the afternoon workshops were held with the help of Zoltán Török-Czirmay, Árpád Könczei and Roberta Olteanu. The main topics were communication, image development, student rights, and its implementation. The program has turned out to be successful. The counties have been actively participating in the weekend. The MAKOSZ presidency believes that the camps and programs of this summer will motivate the student organisations in the future.
