Conseil Supérieur des Élèves (CoSuP)
CoSup was founded in 1984 to establish formal student representation within the European Schools system, which was created to educate the children of EU institution staff and operates under a unique international legal framework agreed by EU Member States. CoSup serves as the official voice of students and participates as an observer in the highest decision-making body of the system, the Board of Governors of the European Schools.
CoSup is the umbrella organisation and confederation of all Pupils’ Councils within the European Schools system, representing approximately 30,000 students across 13 schools in five countries.
To represent and defend the interests of all European School students and to voice their concerns at the level of the Board of Governors of the European Schools.
Coordination of common student positions ahead of Board of Governors meetings; organisation of system-wide student surveys; mobilisation in support of teacher strikes; organisation of “Euronight” (a large-scale annual student event); conferences and workshops (CoSupX); the “Eurocast” podcast; and sustainability initiatives such as the Green Summit.
