Secondary Students Union of Northern Ireland (SSUNI)

SSUNI membership is comprised of individual member schools bringing all of that school’s students into the overall Student Assembly. SSUNI represent almost 40,000 school students, which is about the 30% of students in Northern Ireland.

Among the constitutional aims of SSUNI we find:

– The establishment of an Educational Diversity Unit;
– The establishment of the Equality Unit;
– The establishment of The District Officer Council.

The main topics tackled by SSUNI are: political education, end digital poverty, mental health funding, lobbying to have a standard for student voice, equal rights, anti-bullying strategy, review of modern language education.
