MOs Co-operation working group had a meeting in Bratislava!
The Member Organisations Co-operation working group (MO’s WG) met in Bratislava, Slovakia on 16-18th of November. This was a second meeting for the MO’s WG as the first one took place during the Summer School in Spain.
The goals and actions set during the first meeting were reviewed and discussions on what the working group can do to fulfil its objectives took place. The meeting stared with lighter topics such as reviewing the to-do list from the first meeting or planning the presentation of the groups work for the upcoming OBESSU Council of Members. Later on, members of the group, Kristen Aigro (ESCU), Saša Pešic (UNSS) and Tuomas Tikkanen (SLL) together with OBESSU Board member Daša Koribaničová evaluated workshops that working group held during Summer School 2012 „Share your skills“. In addition, they evaluated the online consultations on the Annual Financial Contribution (AFC) and the communication platform among members, were discussed. The consultations gathered many interesting suggestions that the group was very eager to use. Moreover, many questions appeared, for example why do OBESSU members have hard time cooperating? or why member and observer organisations feel that they are far from OBESSU? and what could be done to make bonds stronger? One of the crazy ideas that the group thought everyone would love (or just the group itself?) was to give everyone OBESSU chocolate in order to motivate and inspire them.
Eventually the brainstorming and discussions led to a decision to create an online tool for members to be able to share their skills, knowledge and experiences. The online solution would enable members not to know more about each other, but also about OBESSU and other vital European institutions. Also, everyone would be able to take a very active part in the process of creating the online tool and in keeping it alive!
