OBESSU General Assembly coming up!
It is an honour for OBESSU to announce its General Assembly (GA) 2012, that will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, the 19th and 20th May 2012.
The GA always has an important value since it is the place where Member and Observer Organisations can assess together the work done and discuss how to improve the work of OBESSU. This year’s General Assembly will be of particular importance. A new Work Plan for 2013-2014 will be discussed and voted upon and the new OBESSU Board and Monitoring Committee will be elected. The General Assembly will be followed by the Conference on “Art and Sport as Catalysts for Social Inclusion” which will take place from the 21st May to 25th May. Please find the Call for participants Arts and Sports Conference here.
Participants and Registration
OBESSU covers the costs for 2 participants attending both the General Assembly and the conference, and in exceptional cases we cover costs of 1 delegate attending only the General Assembly. The deadline for registration is the 3rd April 2012 midnight (CET). There is a participation fee of €50 to be paid at arrival & registration in Copenhagen. Call for Board Members
As decided at the 2011 GA, the OBESSU Board will, from 2013, have an overlapping mandate. This to ensure that not all the information is lost when new Board members are elected. To facilitate this, we open the call for two mandate periods, one for the two years and one for one year. Prospective candidates will need to choose the option to apply for either the one year or two year period. (From 2013, the mandate period will revert back to two years). The shape of the Monitoring Committee also changed: it will now consist of five elected persons: three from the member organisations and two previous Board members of OBESSU. Timeline and Deadlines
- 3rd April: Registration to GA & Conference Registration page.
- 13th April: Proposals (resolutions, motions, amendments). These must be sent in writing to the GA email address.
- 27th April: Nominations to the Board
- 27th April: Nominations to the Monitoring Committee
