OBESSU is welcoming Daniele Sabato – Project & Policy Officer
Hello everyone!
My name is Daniele and I am the new Project and Policy Officer at the OBESSU Secretariat. I started this new chapter of my career on the 19 th of August and I will focus on EU funds and projects, such as InclusiVET and the European Leadership Network Europe (ELNE), while also supporting OBESSU’s policy and advocacy work.
After a full cycle of philosophical studies in Milan (IT), I completed a second master’s degree in the sociology of digital technologies in Maastricht (NL). In Brussels (BE), I did an International Advocacy internship focused on human rights in the Gulf countries and later completed a year-long traineeship in EU-
funded projects.
While deeply passionate about digital rights and policies, my work has always intersected with youth-related issues. During my studies, I participated in the VII Edition of the Change the World: Model United Nations (CWMUN) representing France’s UNICEF Delegates on matters related to child protection in the
aftermath of natural and humanitarian crises. As an International Advocacy Assistant, I worked intensively on statelessness and its impact on children’s and women’s rights. I was also involved in youth-related EU-funded projects, focusing on digital ethics culture among young people, as well as youth challenges in the context of the European Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), and contributing to the creation of the Adriatic Ionian Youth Network (AIYN).
I am now thrilled about taking this new career step at OBESSU!
