As you already know our General Assembly took place in Bucharest on the 21st and 22nd of July. We are happy to introduce two newly elected Board members, Edvardas and Giuseppe.

I am proudly the youngest Boardie of OBESSU. I have been actively involved in my home organisation in Lithuania - LMS - for 4 years, during which I was a volunteer, a President of the regional union, a Board member of the national union and an international officer of the national union.  During the years of working in LMS, I had to attend conferences, be an interviewee, moderate   discussions, organise campaigns/events, steer a team of 50 passionate students and much more! I am active in OBESSU since 2016, and I attended many events, out of which 2 as a prep-team and many statutory meetings. I recently graduated from a public high school and I will soon start studying Economics and International Politics [BSc] in the UK.

I started my activism in Italy with environmental organisations like Legambiente, and then in the field of anti-mafia campaigns I joined ARCI, the biggest non-profit cultural organisation in Italy. My action was focused mainly in these fields until I have been elected class student representative from my classmates at the first year of high school. In 2014 I was part of the reconstitution of RSM in Palermo, from 2015 in the RSM Palermo Provincial Board, from 2016 in the Regional Board of RSM Sicily and International Officer for the whole National RSM that under my mandate joined OBESSU firstly as Candidate Member and in 2017 as an OBESSU Full Member. Currently I'm studying Political Science and International Relations at the University of Palermo in Sicily, and I have spent the first semester of 2018 as an Erasmus Student at the University of Valencia.

As you can see, both of them are really passionate about defending school student rights and they will do an excellent job along with Rob and Sara and with the support of the Secretariat.
