After the stop in Italy, the Light on the Rights Bus Tour crew arrived in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 15th October and has been welcomed by the Association of Secondary School Students in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ASuBiH). The next day ASuBiH was holding a Board meeting in Sarajevo and the Bus Tour activity was planned for the 17th October.

As follow-up of the General Assembly that ASuBiH held in Sarajevo in September 2010 ASuBiH local teams had started to work on the implementation of a project for the “17th November - International Day of Students” and, thus, school student rights has been one of the main topics.During the board meeting, ASuBiH discussed the importance of this project, not only for the topics addressed, but also for the new structure of local teams that put an accent on individual school students and school student councils all over Bosnia and Herzegovina

Together with the LOTR Bus tour crew and OBESSU Board member, Ivica Alpeza, ASuBiH and representatives from the Sarajevo School Student Councils discussed how to approach the implementation of this project in the best possible way, taking into consideration previous OBESSU experience and tools at disposal.

The meeting finished with concrete outputs and thoughts on how to continue with the project implementation using creative campaigning adjusted to the particular needs of each local team.

The OBESSU Light on the Rights Bus Tour thanks ASuBiH for the warm welcome and very productive meeting!
