The day after the CoReg LLL meeting in Cyprus, OBESSU board member Lara Widmer jumped on a bus in Zurich, joined the great LOTR Bus Tour team and drove directly to Vienna where they were warmly welcomed at the AKS office. The next morning they joined VSSTOE - a local students union - for their creative public media action. Sitting outside on boxes, wearing warm woollen clothes and writing on toilet paper, they wanted to represent the actual trend of very little money in higher education.
In the afternoon the LOTR team held an info booth at two secondary schools: distributing material between two school buildings, they informed the school students about the Light on the Rights movement.
The next morning they left Viennavery early towards Linz. There they were welcomed in the office of AKS Linz and went to a school near by to hold two workshops. One was on social inclusion and the other on the structures and work of AKS and OBESSU. After the workshops, the bus hit the road again in the direction of Salzburg. The destination was St Gilgen, a little village on the lakeside of the beautiful WolfgangseeLake. The national board of AKS and all the regional representatives were gathering for a congress on educational policies. The goal was to agree on stand points on various aspects of education and collect them into one document. They transformed the nice hostel into a creative and innovative workspace where nothing seemed to be able to tire them. It was a pleasure to see them working so hard!
