From the 1st February, OBESSU has a new Secretary General. Pina, in fact, will take over the position after Ela left her position at OBESSU to start a new adventure - with which we wish her the best of luck.

Pina started working at OBESSU in June 2018 as Interim Secretary General during Ela’s maternity leave and was renewed a contract as Secretary General for a full term, ending in February 2021. Pina is not a stranger to OBESSU: she started attending events in 2009 and later was active in many structures of OBESSU: the VET working group, the Board, the Manual Revision Working Group and the Pool of Trainers. She likes to remember about the (g)old times and reflect on knowledge management, which is something that she is looking forward to bringing to OBESSU.

She holds a degree in European Languages and Linguistics and is (very soon) graduating a postgraduate Master in Gender Studies and Policies. Before coming to OBESSU, Pina worked in different organisations, mainly focusing on administration, logistics and project management particularly in the field of culture and education. Sheco-organised big festival and camps, fundraised for community projects and advised on NGO administration law in Italy.

Her main tasks as Secretary General will be to be link between the Board and the Secretariat, which she coordinates and manages. She also supports the Board, the Working Groups and other OBESSU structures. Her tasks also include the daily management of the organisation from its strategic and financial point of view, in coordination with the Board and the rest of the Staff.

Colour-coded freak, finance enthusiast, dog lover and chocolate addicted, you can often find her googling about her next educational challenges and (over)reflecting on life decisions.

Pina is very happy to be staying on board of the OBESSU ship and is very looking forward to navigate the sea of School Student Activism together with the coolest bunch of people in the world: OBESSU Members, Candidates, Affiliates and Partners!
