Envision 4.7- The Path to Global Citizenship Education
Envision 4.7 was an event organised by Bridge 47 in collaboration with the Finish Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the auspices of Finnish Presidency of the EU Council. On behalf of OBESSU, our Board member, Adrian Barbaroș participated and brought his inputs on creating a document, Roadmap, which will serve as directions for implementing Global Citizenship Education on a European level. The event, which was hold in Helsinki between 5 and 7 of November, brought together more than 200 participants, from policy-makers, civil society representatives to academics.
Board Meeting in the Capital of Finland!
From the 18th to the 22nd of October, the OBESSU Board, met for the second time, in Helsinki, Finland. The aim of the meeting was to shape the implementation plan for 2020, to lay the foundations for the 17th of November campaign, prepare the Council of Members taking place in Brussels (Belgium) from the 5th to the 8th of December and to discuss the future of the platform.
New Challenges for Global Cooperation: A trip to the USA
At the end of October, Giuseppe from our Board joined a trip between New York and Philadelphia together with some of our partners from the rest of the world.

OBESSU is launching a Call for Action for the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the International Students’ Day, happening on the 17th of November 2019. To remember the origins of the student movements and the relevance of our actions, every year we make this day central in our current campaigns for school students’ rights and for a fairer education for all.
Training for Inclusion Leaders in Brussels!
From the 10th to the 14th of October, OBESSU hosted in Brussels the Training for Inclusion Leaders of the Inclusive Schools Project. 9 representatives of OBESSU’s Member Organisations from all over Europe gathered to develop their competences on social inclusion, inclusive facilitation, and workshop delivery and on how to make schools more inclusive following the methodology developed by the Inclusive Schools Project.
