On the 22nd of October 2020, the OECD's Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) released its Volume VI: “Are Students Ready to Thrive in an Interconnected World?” presenting the results of the PISA 2018 survey on global competence.

The Working Group on Quality of Education Funding has been recently renewed, after two of its previous members got elected for other OBESSU bodies.

The EU Youth Conference took place between the 2nd and 5th of October under the auspices of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in collaboration with the European Youth Forum, the European Commission and coordinated by the European Steering Group. Adrian Barbaroș, Board member of OBESSU, represented the organisation at the first-ever online youth conference.

The 14th plenary session of the Steering Committee on Education Policy and Practice of the Council of Europe (CDPPE) was held online between 30th of September and 2nd of October. Our Board member, Adrian Barbaroș, participated as an observer to the plenary session. The meeting had the aim to gather representatives of ministries of education from Council of Europe member states, of the academic community and of civil society organisations to discuss and put the topic of education in an international perspective.
