OBESSU welcomes the efforts of the European Commission to establish a European Education Area by 2025 but is concerned about the lack of funds that are dedicated to this purpose and that will undermine the realisation of such an ambitious endeavour.

Last week the Belgian Government announced that young people from 16 years old will now be granted the right to vote for European Elections.

Lifelong Learning Platform General Assembly 2020
On 25th September OBESSU participated in the annual General Assembly of the Lifelong Learning Platform. The LLLP is an organisation gathering together civil society organisations working on education at European level, from cradle to grave. Members of the LLLP include student organisations, higher education institutions, parents, early childhood organisations, youth and volunteering organisations and much more, encompassing the formal, non formal and informal sectors of education.
