Can You Solve This? Support the campaign for student human rights in Iran!
“Can You Solve This?” is a grassroots campaign that aims to bring attention to human rights abuses in Iran. In particular, it focuses on the systematic denial of education which the Iranian government uses as a tool of persecution toward numerous groups of students. Those affected by this systematic persecution include student activists, religious minorities, human right defenders, woman rights supporters, ethnic minorities, etc.

On the 4th and 5th of June the AKS General Assembly took place in Linz, Austria. Regional activists came together to elect a new board for school year 2011-2012. The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the main coordinating body for economic and social activities of the United Nations, had its Substantive Session from 4th to 29thJuly in Geneva. June has been the month to discuss Youth Rights before the summer break and OBESSU was present represented by Aleksandra Maldžiski, member of OBESSU’s Advisory Committee.
