The Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions shares concerns on the State of the European Union speech delivered this morning by European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker. While we welcome Juncker’s call for promoting peaceful and inclusive societies to fight radicalisation and Euroscepticism, we want to stress that the history of the European Union and its values will be lost if Member States do not start to invest again in education.

The General Assembly welcomes a new member organisation
OBESSU General Assembly held in Bucharest on the 21st and 22nd of July voted on welcoming a new member organisation to the OBESSU family. Comité des Elèves Francophones (CEF) - the Belgian French-speaking school student union - joined OBESSU as a full member after a year and a half of candidacy.
First Youth Forum for the Mediterranean: the starting point of a great cooperation channel!
On the weekend of 6-9 July, OBESSU was represented at the first ever Youth Forum for the Mediterranean, organised by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). UfM is an intergovernmental institution bringing together 43 countries to promote dialogue and cooperation on both the North and South Coasts of the Mediterranean.
