Were you there when OBESSU was established in 1975? Were you a board member in the 90's? Do you remember what school students of Europe wanted in 2005? Did you work in the office at Flagey that nobody remembers anymore? Or were you in any of the working groups, monitoring committee or did you represent your national organisation in OBESSU? Are you still interested in School Student Movement and do you want to contribute somehow? Great! Then make sure you register as an OBESSU alumna/us!
In 2019, we will include Alumni network in our project Stronger School Student Unions and thanks to this simple mapping, we will be able to contact you directly in case we need some input instead of spamming the whole network with unnecessary emails and calls.
The “Stronger School Student Unions” programme is a tailor-made programme to foster the capacity of OBESSU’s Member Organisations in different fields. With this programme we want to strengthen our member organisations and help them in their development by providing them with the tailor-made support they need. We also want to create the grounds for a better cooperation, mutual support, peer learning and knowledge management in school student organisations.
Activities will range from the creation of a stronger Alumni Network to Peer Learning Activities (regional and interregional), webinars, country reports or field travels and this is where you come in.
We are aware of the immense amount of knowledge and expertise that the OBESSU alumni have and combined with the understanding of the European School Student movement, we believe the membership would benefit from your input.
We would be very happy if you could help us and the members to tackle 5 main common challenges that we have identified :
Knowledge and turnover management
Sustainable finances and human resource management
Political impact and outreach
Representation: structure and constituency
Democratic decision making and inclusion
Hope you join us! In the registration form, we ask you if and in which ways you would like to contribute which ensures we only include you if it fits you and us.
More information together with the registration form can be found here.
