What does education mean to you?
Very often education is seen as the solution to unemployment and the producer of labour – cheap and fast produced labour. In OBESSU, we believe that education is more than that, and that we cannot forget the social value of education and education for the sake of learning. We also believe that everyone, disregarding socioeconomic background, should have equal and free access to education
Therefore, we decided to ask the participants at the European Youth Event one simple question to see whether this is the view that the majority of the European youth share. The question was “What does education mean to you?” The answers were written on orange post-its and posted on a wall to create the OBESSU logo out of the post-its.
So what does education mean to the participants of the European Youth Event?
