Our current projects

OBESSU runs projects on topics and issues which are considered relevant for school students around Europe. The focus of the projects are decided and shaped by the Member Organisations during consultations and Statuatory Meetings, and stated in the OBESSU Workplan.

EPiC (Empowering students Participation In Campaigning)
EPiC (Empowering students Participation In Campaigning)
EPiC - Empowering students Participation in Campaigning is a project that OBESSU is currently carrying out. Throughout this project OBESSU will work until June 2024 on empowering young people to engage within the decision making processes on their local, national and European level, and to practice their right to vote.

Time Capsule - Education 2040
“Time Capsule - Education 2040” is a one-year project funded by European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe. While emphasizing school leadership, democratic advocacy tools, school students involvement, the main aim of this proposal is to create spaces for school students to discuss how education should look like in the future. This is planned to happen through combined approaches of policy, activism and tools.

HUMANNESS: EU Social Challenges and Civic Engagement for Solidarity
The project "HUMANNESS: EU Social Challenges and Civic Engagement for Solidarity" is a transnational collaboration between four European organizations, African professionals, working to improve knowledge sharing related to cohesion, social development, democracy and inclusion. The project aims to create opportunities for marginalized youth to play an active role in their communities.

Co-operation Youth Vote (COYV)
Co-operation Youth Vote (COYV)
The Co-Operation Youth Vote project seeks to encourage and strengthen youth participation through education and communication actions at a time where we need it most. As the 2019 European elections have shown, there exists an inextricable link between information and participation.

This project is led by JEF EUROPE in partnership with JEF Latvia, JEF Italy, JEF Hungary, Lifelong Learning Platform, Young Educators (Portugal) and OBESSU.
