‘Why should I care?’ competition by the European Policy Centre
Have you ever wanted to express YOUR passionate opinion about the significance of the European Parliament to the lives of EU citizens? Have you ever itched to participate in a pan-European initiative alongside other young and like-minded individuals? Have you ever dreamt of MAKING A DIFFERENCE in the European integration project?
The European Policy Centre has invited young citizens of the European Union and Croatia to have their say on why the European Union matters to them and why there is a need to vote in the 2014 European parliamentary elections!
The 20 best submissions for the competition win an all-expenses-covered trip to Brussels to present their entries and get to know the European Parliament closer. The deadline for the entries is 28th March 2013.
Currently OBESSU is actively working on the issue of the 2014 European parliamentary elections, to make sure that the claims and demands of school students are not neglected in the debates within the election campaigns and the next mandate of the European Parliament. This is done through the European Parliament Elections Platform “School Students’ Europe 2019” Working Group. Read more about what they have done so far at their first meeting.
